As peace negotiations continue in Khartoum, a youth activist is reminding the country’s politicians to put the needs of the people above their own personal interests.

The talks mediated by the Sudanese government are scheduled to end this Thursday, after a two-day extension to give the parties more time to close gaps and hammer out agreements on outstanding issues.

Jacob Bul, a member of the AnaTaban peace advocacy group told Irene Lasu why he remains hopeful that the talks will yield peace.
