Civil Society criticize revised governance proposal, recommend lean government and smaller legislature
Civil Society organizations have submitted their response to a revised proposal on governance arrangements, proposing a leaner government and smaller legislature.
In their submission, the South Sudan Civil Society Forum says proposals to increase the number of ministries from 30 to 45 and an additional 150 Members of Parliament are a waste of resources, in a country already grappling with an economic crisis.
Rajab Mohandis, a member of the civil society forum says they submitted their comments to Sudanese mediators in Khartoum earlier Wednesday.
