UK Commits additional £70m Pounds to help more girls go to school

The UK government has announced it would provide a further £70 million British pounds in funding to the Girls’ Education in South Sudan.

The money will help girls who are in school, those who have never attended school due to family constraints and those who have dropped out of school.

Philip Wani asked the UK Minister for Africa affairs, Harriett Baldwin, why keeping girls in school is a valuable approach for South Sudan.
