Final documents have been prepared and parties meeting for peace talks in Khartoum are today expected to sign deals on transitional governance and power sharing agreements.

The drafts prepared by Sudanese Mediators calls for creation of five vice presidents in the unity government. The new proposal maintains the controversial 32 states until an Independent Boundaries Commission determines the number of states.

The draft agreement also proposes 35 ministries and 550 members of parliament.

Speaking to Radio Miraya from Khartoum, Peter Mayen, Leader of the People’s Liberal Party also member of the Opposition Alliance said the signing of the deal would mark the end of negotiations and pave way for the drafting of an implementation matrix.
