As the heatwave continues across the county, extra measures are being put in place at Kent's farms to reduce the risk of fires…

It follows four fires in just three days in the countryside, including at Stodmarsh, Stockbury and Dartford.

While the dry weather helps with harvesting, the recent weather has caused a loss of yield.

Martin Lingham is a farmer in West Malling where farm machinery was used to help prevent the fire from spreading.
