Rape remains prevalent in South Sudan IDP camps

Rape has been identified as the most common form of gender based violence among displaced persons in Yambio. 

These were the findings of an assessment conducted by the Support Peace Initiative Development Organization – SPIDO. 

 The Rule of Law officer for SPIDO in Yambio, Morris John Peter says the outcome of the assessment has been discussed with key stakeholders from the United Nations, Civil Society and government to explore ways of addressing the issue. Morris outlines the objectives of the study.
