The Ministry of Health with partners have stepped up surveillance and outreach activities in West-ern Lakes after new cases of Guinea worms.
UNICEF Chief of Water, Hygiene and Sanitation, Victor Kinyanjui, said the possibility of guinea worms increasing remains great if detection and reporting is not done in a timely manner.
