ICRC convoys arrive in Tombura with much needed aid relief

A convoy of 18 - trucks belonging to the International Committee of the Red Cross, finally entered Tombura state on Monday, two weeks after they were intercepted by armed men about 40kms from Mundri town.

Mathew Aime, Tombura state Minister of Information says the displaced persons started receiving the the relief items, but said authorities are concerned about ongoing insecurity in the state.

Tombura is home to more than one thousand internally displaced persons who fled unrest in Nagero.
