An economist at the Uni of Leicester has told Capital all councils should plan to deal with a potential no-deal Brexit.

With fears government and EU negotiations will not agree a deal, it's been reported councils are looking to ensure they'll be able to deal with things like food shortages or social unrest. 

We've asked councils in the East Midlands about their plans, one has described the idea of the contingency planning as 'cobblers'.
