Family Feud Podcast - Fall Camp Preview

Aug 03, 2018, 03:37 AM

After a long hiatus, Keely Eure and Shotgun Spratling are back in the studio with a new episode of the Family Feud Podcast. On the eve of USC's first fall camp practice, the duo preview what they are looking for and will evaluate during the Trojans' training camp.

First off, Keely and Shotgun recap their observations from the long offseason. Which players stood out during USC's player-run practices? How did the Trojans' incoming freshmen perform? Is JT Daniels play as advertised? How strong is the Daniels to Amon-Ra St. Brown connection? Will their strong connection help them standout in their perspective position battles? They also debate the new format of summer PRPs and if it benefiting or hindering the players.

With fall camp just a day away, Keely and Shotgun discuss their expectations for fall camp. What are they looking forward to seeing in the upcoming weeks? Which position group has the most depth? What should USC's coaches be looking for when evaluating the quarterback battle? What are the keys to a successful training camp?

The duo then gives a brief preview of each position group. First, they start where all eyes will be on Friday - on the quarterbacks. Then, they predict who will start on USC's offensive line. Could this be a make it or break it year for offensive line coach Neil Callaway? They also debate whether true freshmen Brett Neilon and Justin Dedich could see playing time. Finally, they discuss USC's running backs and run game. Could Tim Drevno have an impact on the Trojans' play calling and schemes?

Moving on to the other side of the ball, they discuss the impressive depth that the Trojans' have on defense. Who will fill Chris Hawkins' safety position? Which player will play opposite Iman Marshall at the safety position? Will Clancy Pendergast rotate more players in games this season? Which players are guaranteed to start?

Finally, Keely and Shotgun end the show with a new segment: Agree/Disagree. In this segment, Keely says a statement and Shotgun discusses - as you can probably guess - whether he agrees or disagrees. Is this USC team this year's Georgia? Will JT Daniels be the quarterback with the most starts at the end of the season? Could USC finish the month of September 4-1?
