UNMISS and Partners Score significant strides in efforts to release Children from armed ranks in South Sudan

The release of 128 children in Yambio today brings to almost nine hundred,  the number of children released from armed ranks through a UN-backed negotiation.

Alfred Orono Orono, the Chief of the Child Protection section in the UN Mission describes today’s release of children from armed ranks as a significant milestone achieved through partnerships between the United Nations, the government and other partners.
