Boris Johnson is to face an investigation by an independent panel following complaints over his burka comments. It will look at whether the former foreign secretary breached the Conservative Party's code of conduct. Earlier, the head of the Met Police said he did not commit a crime when he compared women who wear the face veils, to letter boxes and bank robbers.
