A Kent student is trying to raise enough money to build part of a school in Uganda.

Ben Carpenter decided to help after hearing 120 children in Kabale could be forced out of their current school - if they can't afford the rent.

He studies architecture at UCA in Canterbury and hopes he can guide the project with what he's learnt.

The 20-year-old says he's heading there for two weeks to set up a usable building.

Ben needs £1,000 to cover the cost of materials and labour.
