A 12-month scheme allowing taxis to use bus lanes in Belfast has been put on hold. Earlier this year the Infrastructure Department said it had planned to introduce the trial before the Belfast Rapid Transit System launches next week. It would allow class A, private hire taxis to use the lanes. But since the recent Buick Judicial Review judgment clarified the position regarding the decisions civil servants can and cannot take in the absence of Ministers the scheme has been scrapped for now. Stephen got reaction from Alliance MLA Kellie Armstrong, commentator Newton Emerson and taxi driver Ken Kelly.
