IOM distributes Dignity Kits to women in Magwi and Kapoeta

In times of peace, we take basic hygiene for granted but in Internally Displaced person’s camps, hygiene products- especially feminine hygiene supplies- can be scarce. Living with conflict can mean not having the essentials to lead a healthy and a dignified life.

Last week, the UN international Organization of Migration - IOM with support from the United States development agency for international Development – USAID, distributed dignity kits to more than one thousand women and girls at risk of violence in Kapoeta and Magwi.

Olivia Headon, IOM communications officer was hosted on Miraya Breakfast Show to explain more about the dignity kits and their impact on the women of South Sudan.
