Interview with Dr Lam Akol on initialed draft Peace Deal

A member of the South Sudan Opposition Alliance is hopeful their concerns regarding the revitalized peace deal will be addressed before a final signing ceremony. 

Lam Akol says they presented their reservations in writing to the Sudanese mediators before they initialed the final agreement yesterday. 

The SPLM-IO and Opposition Alliance were reluctant to initial the final text over concerns regarding the number of the states, the proposed process for the constitution making and issues of responsibility sharing in relation to allocation of ministries. 

Dr. Lam Akol, a member told the Miraya Breakfast show this morning that their reservations will be forwarded to the IGAD Heads of State summit for further deliberation.
