Thousand of children in Kent will be doing the Kent Test later - just days after going back to school following the summer break.

More than 17,500 have registered to do the exam to find out if they'll be able to apply to go to a grammar school in the county next September.

As many as 6,000 of those live outside Kent and will do the test on Saturday.

Results will be emailed to parents on October 11th.
