A new 'talking bus' is being trialled in Kent, after studies have shown huge numbers of older people living alone often feel ignored or invisible.

Bus company Arriva are teaming up with West Kent Befriending Service to combat loneliness and helping people meet each other.

The first journey went from Maidstone to Tenterden on Wednesday and there are set to be more trips over the coming months.
