Figures seen by kmfm show the number of midwives in Kent has failed to increase over the last year, despite fears of a shortage. 875 were employed at hospitals in the county in May this year according to the latest NHS data - four fewer that the same time last year.  It's as the Royal College of Midwives say the number in the whole of England rose by just 67 in 2017 despite more than 2-thousand graduating.
