Yei Relief Commissioner appeals for aid support for populations returning home

The Relief and Rehabilitation Commission in Yei River state says many people that fled the conflict are stranded in Kaya, along the South Sudan – Uganda Border waiting to be trans-ported to the state.

Peter Butili Farajallah, the RRC chairperson in Yei told Radio Miraya that the situation of the people returning to their homes remains dire.

“Now inside Yei these returning population do not get assistance at all from anybody. They come and then they melt among their communities. Like food, building materials so they can resettle, this assistance is not there.”

The RRC chairperson spoke of an urgent need for relief aid to support the internally dis-placed persons in the state.
