Ever since the Daily Connect's very first Connect Conversation there has been heated debate on our social media channels about whether or not the RNIB should have helped Natalie Dormer to accurately portray a blind character. RNIB's arguement is that there have been too many poor portrayals of sight loss on screen that, if it is going to be a sighted person playing the role anyway, it would be worth having an accurate portrayal. Daily Connect listener Sarah Houbolt has her say now, as she ignited a heated conversation on Twitter this week, and she is passionate that the RNIB should not have gotten involved in this way.
The original Connect Conversation is still available as a Podcast on our usual channels.
