Wreaths have been replaced at a memorial to the eighteen soldiers killed at Narrow Water in 1979 after they were damaged in what the police are treating as a hate crime.

The wreaths at Narrow Water, which commemorate 18 soldiers killed in two IRA bomb blasts on August 27, 1979, were targeted on Saturday.

Cliftonville Football Club says it's aware of allegations that fans returning from Saturday's match in Warrenpoint may have been involved. In a statement, the Cliftonville chairman Gerard Lawlor described it as a pathetic act and said those involved are not in an affiliated supporters club.
