Thousands of people are going to gather in Canterbury this weekend for an event marking the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment will be on parade along with the Salvation Army band, while there'll be performances from the Shorncliffe and Brompton Military Wives Choirs.

A service will also be held at the cricket ground on Sunday before a parachute team free fall into the ground.

Vice Lord Lieutenant (pro: lef-tenant) Richard Oldfield heads up the organising committee.
