CTSAMM Convenes Meeting with Parties to define modalities for Cessation of Hostilities

The Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism – CTSAMM convenes a two- day meeting with parties to the Revitalised peace deal in Khartoum today, to define further modalities for operationalising the permanent ceasefire framework.

The meeting comes amid concerns that the cessation of hostilities agreement which was signed in December has suffered several breaches.

Ruth Fenny, CTSAMM communication officer, says the workshop will provide Parties an oppor-tunity to inform CTSAMVM about their plans for implementing the ceasefire as per the implementation matrix in the Revitalized Agreement to resolve the conflict in South Sudan.
