The #Gillingham FC chairman says they had no choice but to spend almost a half a million pounds replacing the pitch at Priestfield. The Gills have suffered a poor start to the season with just one win from their five games at home in all competitions. The playing surface is said to have affected their performance and even become dangerous to play on. Two games need to be rearranged while the work is done.
