Winner of the Nansen Refugee Award to use prize to boost health services in Bunj
A South Sudanese surgeon who won the Nansen Refugee Award is dedicating his prize money to improve health services in Bunj, Northern Upper Nile region.
Doctor Atar was named the winner of the award by UNHCR in recognition of his tireless efforts to serving refugees and displaced population in the only operational hospital in Bunj. He will receive $150 - thousand dollar prize in recognition of his work.
Speaking to Radio Miraya from Nairobi, Dr. Evan Atar, said the money will help him support his ongoing projects.
