Financial literacy levels in the UK are far lower than in other developed countries, with one in three adults unable to work out basic change or price discounts.

But the younger generation could be better off, with education charities like MyBank working with kids to improve financial skills from an early age.

It comes as a new report from Axa Investment shows children as young as eight are already saving, with a third under 15 earning money from a job or chores.

Nick Howard speaks to Mybank’s head of education, Sharan Jaswal about the charity’s work.
