Cicadas before the summer goes

Oct 13, 2018, 05:44 PM

The chirping of the cicadas in the late summer days in Tokyo. I made the recording at the end of September 2012 in Setagaya-Ku, west Tokyo. in a small garden close to the house where I've spent a few days. This sound announces the late summer days, then with the beginnning of fall the cicadas will die. Therefore the cicadas are a symbol of the going by summer. Sometimes the sound changes or stops within a day rapidly. Recorded by Gabriella Disler.
