A Secretive Call

"I initially played with the red-throated diver call parts of the field recording and used several techniques such as vari-speed, time stretching to explore and create new sounds. Some play underneath the whole track as textures and others are used as very short percussive-type sounds. This then inspired some rhythmic ideas and the track came alive from there. A lot of the arrangement was formed from live improvisation with my Elektron Octatrack with further editing and processing inside Ableton."
