Shallow Waters

Reimagined by Maeve Moayedi - WNNR.

"There's a lovely consistency to the sound of frogs at night, but if you listen closely, there are beautiful moments that stand out for each individual voice. So I thought, if I gated the sound of the frogs to another rhythmic source, it'd be a constantly evolving percussive sound. The track evolved naturally around what I heard from that experiment. There's also a nice sidechained, super-high-passed version of the source sound in which you can really hear the air of the night and all the frogs calling out to one another."
