Parties to CoH agreement urged to freeze unauthorized movements

The second ceasefire monitors, Technical Committee has urged parties to the cessation of hostilities agreement to freeze movements to the hotspots, unless authorized in accordance with the Permanent Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements.

This is just one of the resolutions that was reached last week during the second technical meeting of Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring and Verification Mechanism in Khartoum last week.

The technical committee identified three hot spots including; Yei area, The Wau triangle and the Mir Mir Koch area.

The team noted that the latest clashes resulted from unauthorized movement of forces and agreed that parties must comply.
