Personal Independence Payments Under Social Security Scotland.

Social Security Scotland will take over the administration and responsibilities for providing a variety of welfare payments, currently run by the Department for Work and Pensions at Westminster, for claimants in Scotland. One of the devolved responsibilities will be for Personal Independence Payments (PIP), one of the biggest benefits, created to help with the day to day, extra, living costs for persons with disabilities and long term medical conditions. The Scottish Parliament has pledged to make the system more person centred and Fairer, for current and future claimants.
