Campaigners says plans by Gatwick to use their emergency runway to increase capacity are 'despicable' and will lead to hundreds of extra planes a day in the skies over west Kent.
Airport bosses are expected to confirm today a draft expansion proposal because they're currently operating at full capacity in the summer.
Communities Against Gatwick Noise and Emissions say it would lead to an 'intolerable increase in noise'.
