Child marriage in South Sudan remains one of the major obstacles to girl education. 

Child marriage perpertuated by culture has a devastating impact on young girls; it robs them of their childhood, and young girls face a higher risk of abuse and health complications.

This is an issue that is increasingly coming to the attention of the young girls and boys in the country.
