Return of South Sudanese refugees in Ayaci County is alarming

Authorities in Ayaci county, of Torit state have voiced an alarm at the many South Sudanese refu-gees returning from Palabek refugee camp in Uganda to Ayaci county and already struggling with overstretched supplies and services.
More than 300 community members mostly men and women have returned to Pogee and Pajok Payam, but lack food, shelter and water.
UNMISS patrol team reached returnees in Pogee Payam of Ayaci County in Torit State last week and assessed the humanitarian situation.
Ayaci County Commissioner, Charles Okumu, joined the patrol to Pajok and Pogee, and spoke of the dire situation of the returnees.
