There's going to be a trial of five rural bus routes in #Kent, to try and help people living in villages and isolated communities stay connected.

Council bosses had planned to save £2 million by cutting subsidised services - but went back on the idea before holding a public consultation.

At a meeting last night it was revealed the buses will run in the areas around #Dover, #Sevenoaks, #Tenterden, #WestMalling and #Maidstone.

Mike Whiting is the Cabinet member for highways and transport at the county council.
