SRSG calls on parties to demonstrate commitment to Peace as #SouthSudan Celebrates revitalized Peace

The Special Representative of the Secretary General says the celebration of the revitalized agreement offers a fresh opportunity for all parties to demonstrate their commitment to end the conflict and build durable peace in the country.
In his message, David Shearer, who is also head of the UN Mission in the country, said the signing of the revitalized agreement on the resolution of the conflict in South Sudan laid the foundation of peace.
He said the UN remains committed to support peace building in South Sudan.
