Parents unhappy at plans to turn seven primary schools in Deal into academies are holding a public meeting tonight.

The head of Kingsdown and Ringwould primary wants to set up a multi academy trust which'll take over the running of sites including Hornbeam, Northbourne and Sholden.

Although a consultation isn't needed by law - mums and dads say their call for a ballot on the idea has been ignored.

The executive head behind the idea wasn't available to comment.
