[...] "As leaders we should be ready and willing to bridge differences, build mutual trust and initial long term reforms in South Sudan," said the special Representative for South Sudan and Head of the African Union Liaison Office in South Sudan, Ambassador Joram Biswaro.
Addressing a gathering in Juba, Ambassador Biswaro said it is time to walk the talk and the leaders must commit to bringing peace and stability in South Sudan.
"We should not frustrate the very high expectations raised by the citizens in this trying time that peace has come to stay, the public is tired of the reckless war and they are yearning for peace, the guns must be silenced," he added.
Ambassador Biswaro asked the parties to the agreement to guard against frustrating the hopes of the country’s citizens who turned up in their numbers to celebrate peace in Juba.
