The United States Government is urging parties to take key steps to end all fighting everywhere, release all political detainees and prisoners of war including those held by the National Security Service.
In an audio statement issued by the US embassy in Juba, Jonathan Cebra, the Public Affairs Officer, said parties and regional leaders must finalize the security arrangements for Juba, to pave the way for a safe return of all parties to the agreement so they can take part in governance.
Cebra said parties must speed up the implementation of the cessation of hostilities agreement that was signed in December 2017 and the September 2018 Revitalized agreement on the resolu-tion of the conflict in South Sudan.
