Members of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly held a one consultative event on the ratification of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
With Technical support from the Human Rights Division and Rule of Law sections on the UN mission in South Sudan, the legislators also talked about the International Covenant on Economic Social and Cultural Rights.
Sworo Charles Elisha caught up with Mary Puru Michael, Deputy Chairperson of the human rights committee. She begun by explaining why the MPs decided to focus on the two protocols.
