Situation Remains Dire for IDPs in Mugwo Payam

It’s been about one month since more than seven thousand people fled Mugwo Payam in Yei River state and sought shelter at Mugo Payam headquarters.

Yet the situation of these people remains dire and the authorities insist that the current interventions to alleviate the plight of the displaced persons are inadequate.

The Secretary of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission in Mugwo county, Emmanuel Mawa, explains the situation.
