Music in Africa Conference Opens in Kenya Today

Delegates from 50 African countries gather in Nairobi today for the second Music in Africa Conference for Collaboration, Exchange and Showcases. 

The two-day event is expected to attract more than 5,000 delegates. High on the agenda is a focus on royalty collection challenges in Africa, the continent’s music streaming economy, distribution models and new technologies. 

Launched in Dakar, Senegal in 2017, Africa Conference for Collaboration, Exchange and Showcases has become one of the leading annual music events in the African continent. 

Speaking on behalf of the director of president of permanent music committee of Kenya, Evelyne Mushira, told Radio Miraya’s Moro Lokombu about Kenya’s support for South Sudan Music aspirations.
