HIV prevalence rate increases among armed forces in Greater Jonglei

An assessment report indicates that the HIV prevalence rate among armed forces in Greater Jonglei has gone up from 3% to 5% over the past three months. The report is based on the outcome of a 100-day campaign launched by the Jonglei state ministry of health, in collaboration with UN AIDS and other partners.

The three month campaign held at the Malualchat military garrison offered preventive care, treatment and counselling for armed forces, their families and host communities of the Greater Jonglei region.
