Hundreds of calls have been made to the NSPCC in the last financial year about children being neglected in Kent and Medway.

It's the most common reason for calling their helpline with reports including youngsters left unsurpervised or without adequate clothing.

Almost 650 of them were so serious, they had to be referred to external agencies like the police.

Sandra Robinson is a helpline Manager for the charity.
