Netherlands contributes €8M to rehabilitate and maintain roads in South Sudan

One of the more crucial activities of the United Nations World Food program in South Sudan has been and remains food security. Millions of people have faced varying levels of food insecurity.

On Thursday, WFP received a 9 million US dollar contribution from the Netherlands to improve small holder farmers access to markets by rehabilitating the roads over the next 4-years. 

On Miraya Breakfast show to discuss the significance of this donation and the measures being taken to support the farmers, is Simon Cammelbeeck, WFP Deputy Country Director for Operations and Mr. Marc Mazairac: First Secretary of Development Cooperation the Embassy of Netherlands AND Ms. Yar Deng , Policy Officer for Food Security.
