A peace conference opens in Juba today aimed at tapping into the minds of intellectual youth to end the vicious cycle of child abductions and cattle raids in Jonglei and Boma states.

The two-day dialogue has been organized by the Christian Agency for Peace and Development – a faith-based national organization in collaboration with the Norwegian People’s Aid.

Peter Malir is the Executive Director of the Christian Agency for Peace and Development.

In this interview with Sebit William, Malir explains how previous initiatives have not reflected the perspectives of the region’s young and educated people.
