@LewisQball lives with Tourette's syndrome - he speaks to @StephenNolan about PIP assessment where he was awarded

Lewis Nickell has had a tough life. The young Bangor man developed Tourette's syndrome when he was just 17 years old. That means he has physical tics and uncontrollable swearing. You'd think that would suggest he has issues around communicating and socialising but not according to PIP assessors. We reveal this morning that Lewis was scored 0 for 'mixing with other people', 0 points for 'communicating', and 0 points for 'planning and following a journey'. He feels that this is inappropriate as these are areas in which he suffers the most. Communication and talking with people. Being/travelling on his own. Expressing his feelings/talking. Stephen spoke to Lewis this morning.
