The Pulse Investigates: The 2018 Accommodation Scandal

Dec 03, 2018, 03:43 PM

Ahead of the start of the 2018/19 academic year, the University of Nottingham expanded its number of places available places for new undergraduates by an additional 325 places. As the Pulse has learnt however, accommodation and the welfare support networks for these additional new students was not provided at the start of term, with many students forced to live out in local hotels or in private student housing until the new Beeston Hall was ready for use. Listen to our special investigation where we explore the reasons for these failures in student care and hear first hand experiences of how disruptive these problems have been for new students at the University of Nottingham.
