Conversation spotlighting volunteer spirit of humanity

As we commemorate International Volunteer Day today, the volunteer movement is appealing for respect and a spirit of ‘service above self.’

Volunteer Day is marked every December 5th to give a unique opportunity for volunteers worldwide to celebrate their efforts, share their values, and create awareness on their work.

This year’s theme is “Volunteers Build Resilient Communities”.
The day will be marked in Juba with a clean-up exercise at Konyo-Konyo market.

Gabriel Shadar sat down with some volunteers to find out what inspires and keeps them going.
